Exit to Highway 52.  Turn
right at the 4th stoplight on
Main St., Dalton Rd.  King
Drug Co. and Terry's
Furniture are on the corners.
The studio is on the left 2/3
the way down the block. It
is a white two story building.
The railroad track runs
behind the studio, if you
cross the tracks you have
gone too far.

Joyce Slate Triche received the
2009 Business Leader of the Year Award
from the King Chamber of Commerce at their
awards banquet held on November,12 2009.
Students performed at the Stokes Stomp on September 8, 2018. This outdoor festival was sponsored by the Stokes County Arts Council. It took place at
Moratock Park in Danbury. See

September 22, 2018 - Joyce Triche took a ballet essentials class at Lincoln Center in New York taught by members of the New York City Ballet Company. She also
attended a performance by the company at Lincoln Center.

On October 6, 2018 jazz,musical theatre, ballet, lyrical and acrobatics students performed at Kingfest which was held at Central Park in King. See

the performance gallery. Kingfest is sponsored by the King Chamber of Commerce.

From September 10- October 13, 2018, 32 students participated in our "A Dancer Reads" contest. 25,348 pages of  dance related books were read. Five  students
who  read over 2000 pages were named princesses. They received a custom designed t-shirt, and roses. The student who read the most, Kara was crowned our
reading Queen on October 27.  She read 2,847 pages. She received a crown, a bouquet of roses,and a t-shirt..Certificates for all participants were given by the King
Public Library. A picture and story appeared in the October 30 edition of
The Stokes News.

September 21-23, 2018 A quick trip to New York City - saw  a performance of the New York City Ballet Company at Lincoln Center and took a Ballet Essentials
class taught by company members

October 8-13,2018 Bring a Friend Week   

October 20,2018 Six students participated in the Cystic Fibrosis Flip-a-thon. $781.00 was raised for Cystic Fibrosis research. A picture and story was in October
30 edition of
The Stokes News.

On October 31,2018 more than 1000 children received treats as part of the Downtown Trick or Treat. Several  went through the "Not Too Scary" haunted maze.

On November 10-11, 2018  Five from Miss Joyce's attended the Carolina Dance Masters, Inc. convention held at the Koury Convention center in Greensboro. Two
students, Tishana and Laila were in the senior level classes, while Jesse Morris, Jordan Turpin and Joyce Triche were in the teachers classes.   All took several
hours of master classes. Miss J\esse and Miss Joyce attended the grand body meeting of Carolina Dance Masters, Inc. Both received their continuing education
certificates for 2018.

December 2, 2018 students participated in the Rural Hall Christmas parade. See

December 8, 2018 the Walnut Cove Christmas Parade  

December 15, 2018 the King Christmas Parade rescheduled from December 1 because rain was forecast. (The weather was worse on the 15th.)

December 15, 2018 Christmas party for all students was held at the studio. We celebrated the end of the wet parade season.

December 27, 2018 Students performed at Priddy Manor Assisted Living for the residents and their families

January 12 - February 23, 2019 Snowflake Classes were held ending with an Open House demonstration and reception

February 2, 2019-  I attended the Carolina Dance Masters Winter Workshop in Wilmington, took several hours of master classes and taught a master class of
children's ballet for the teachers in attendance.

March 17-18, 2018 7 routines competed in the Carolina Dance Masters, Inc. Performing Arts Competition in Smithfield, NC                         

April 21, 2018 Information booth staffed by Susan Shelton and demonstration of preschool classes at Little Folks Festival in Walnut Cove

April 23-28, 2018 We celebrated National Dance Week by bring our friends to class and sharing homemade cookies and lemonade

June 2, 2018  Meet Me on Main sponsored by the King Chamber of Commerce.
