The studio is on the left 2/3
the way down the block. It
is a white two story building.
The railroad track runs
behind the studio, if you
cross the tracks you have
gone too far.

|Joyce Slate Triche received the
2009 Business Leader of the Year Award
from the King Chamber of Commerce at their
awards banquet held on November,12 2009.
|Students performed at the Stokes Stomp on September 9, 2017. This outdoor festival was sponsored by the Stokes County Arts Council. It took place at
Moratock Park in Danbury. See action pictures in the performance gallery.
On October 7, 2017 jazz, baton, ballet and acrobatics students performed at Kingfest which was held at Central Park in King. See action pictures in the performance
gallery. Kingfest is sponsored by the King Chamber of Commerce.
From September 11- October 14, 2017, 28 students participated in our "A Dancer Reads" contest. Over 23,600 pages of dance related books were read. Five
students who read over 1100 pages were named princesses. They received a custom designed t-shirt, a reading duck, and roses. The student who read the most,
Mckenzie was crowned our reading Queen on October 27. She read 4,861 pages. She received a crown, a bouquet of roses, a t-shirt,and a reading duck..Certificates
for all participants were given by the King Public Library. A picture and story appeared in the Nov. 9 edition of The Stokes News.
October 9-14,2017 Bring a Friend Week
October 21,2017 Five students participated in the Cystic Fibrosis Flip-a-thon.$432.00 was raised for Cystic Fibrosis research.
On October 31,2017 more than 850 children received treats as part of the Downtown Trick or Treat. Several went through the "Not Too Scary" haunted maze.
On November 18-19, 2017 Seven from Miss Joyce's attended the Carolina Dance Masters, Inc. convention held at the Koury Convention center in Greensboro.
Four students, Claire, Kimberly, Tishana and Laila were in the senior level classes while Jesse Morris and Joyce Triche were in the teachers classes. Naomi came to
observe classes. All took several hours of master classes. Miss J\esse and Miss Joyce attended the grand body meeting of Carolina Dance Masters, Inc. Both
received their continuing education certificates for 2017.
December 2, 2017 students participated in the King Christmas parade. See pictures of all three parades on our parade season page
December 3, 2017 the Rural Hall Christmas Parade
December 9, 2017 the Walnut Cove Christmas Parade was postponed due to snow
December 16, 2017 Christmas party for all students was held at the studio.
December 27, 2017 Students performed at Priddy Manor Assisted Living for the residents and their families
January 14 - February 25, 2017 Snowflake Classes were held ending with an Open House demonstration and reception
February 11,2017- Miss Jesse and I attended the Carolina Dance Masters Winter Convention and took several hours of master classes
February 6 & February 20 Requirements for dancer badge were taught to two different girl scout troops at the studio
March 25-26, 2017 6 routines competed in the Tri State Dance Contest in Asheville, NC.
April 24-29, 2017 We celebrated National Dance Week by bring our friends to class and sharing homemade cookies and lemonade
April 29, 2017 Information booth and demonstration of preschool classes at Little Folks Festival
May 20, 2017 Meet Me on Main sponsored by the King Chamber of Commerce. Action Pictures
On June 3, 2017 Spring Production Vacation was held at the Stevens Center of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts
